So vacation time has come again, and you’re wondering where to go this year. There is quite literally a world of choice available to you, so the best thing to do is figure out what appeals to you the most, or where you would get the most value for the money.
First things first: where do you want to go? Are you curious about European art and culture? Maybe a trip to Rome is in the works. Would you prefer to lie down on a beach and soak up sunshine instead? Try Caribbean cruises or Hawaiian cruises. Perhaps adventure travel is more to your liking. In that case, venture up north and book yourself an Alaska vacation. Or maybe you really just want to cut loose and party. Where else to go for that than Las Vegas?
You could also book a Key West vacation or a Niagara Falls vacation. Key West has many famous attractions, such as Ernest Hemingway’s house, which has been turned into a museum. The Key West Lighthouse is another popular spot, as is the Tennessee Williams Theatre. In Niagara Falls, there are, of course, the Falls to see. You can go on the famous boat tour on The Maid of the Mist that will take you in front of the Falls (but, for obvious reasons, not right under them). Aside from the Falls, there are also a lot of other attractions for tourists, on both the American and Canadian sides.
There are many options available to you for travel accommodations. Hotels are the first choice for many travelers, and these accommodations range from the frugal and conservative to the luxurious and expensive (sometimes outrageously so). Motels are usually found close to major highways. The distinguishing feature of motels is that the rooms are right next to the parking lot, which makes it a little easier to get back on the road quickly. They are usually cheaper than other accommodations. Hostels are great for last minute travel plans or those traveling on a budget. If you don’t mind the increased socializing and sharing rooms with strangers, then a hostel would be perfect for you.
One important thing to take care of is travel insurance. It’s common for travelers and tourists to get sick while they’re on vacation, and you want to make sure you’re covered. The last thing anyone needs is to go away and not be able to enjoy their vacation!
